The Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser is back for another year.
This family-friendly walk supports vulnerable people experiencing hurt, hunger and homelessness.
Walks are set for Feb. 22, in North Perth, Stratford and St. Marys.
North Perth event check-in begins at 4:15 p.m. at the municipal office in Listowel, with an opening ceremony beginning at 5 p.m.
Walkers choose a 2K or 5K route around town.
Organizers hope to raise $63,000. Recipients of the community generosity include United Way’s Urgent Needs Fund and United Housing initiative.
Check-in for the walk in St. Marys starts at 4 p.m. at the Pyramid Recreation Centre.
Opening ceremonies start at 4:45 p.m. A light meal will be served at 6 p.m.
The fundraising goal is $68,000. Money raised will help support the St. Marys Community Outreach Worker and the Nourish Equal Access Food Market
