Blowing snow advisory for Stratford, parts of Perth County

Blowing Snow Advisory in effect for:

  • Stratford – Mitchell – Southern Perth County

Poor visibility locally near zero in snow and blowing snow continues.

What: Reduced visibility in snow and blowing snow. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 cm. Northwesterly winds gusting to 70 km/h.

When: Continuing into this evening.

Additional details: Visibility may be near zero at times, particularly over exposed areas. Conditions are expected to improve this evening. However, lake effect snow squalls could affect some areas beginning Friday morning. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility.

Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Road closures are possible. If travelling, be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
