Stratford police are looking for two male teenagers after a man was assaulted.
Police found the victim, suffering a head injury, on the railway tracks in the area of Erie Street and Monteith Avenue, shortly before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said the victim heard a disturbance and what he believed were gun shots from an air soft pistol. The firearm was pointed at him and his life was threatened.
After trying to walk away, the youths struck him in the back of the head with an unknown object, and then fled the area running west on the railway tracks.
Both youth are described as 16-years-old.
The first youth is a white male, approximately 5′ foot tall with a slim build, wearing a black bandana as a facemask, brown hair, a light blue hoodie, light blue jeans, and white running shoes.
This youth is believed to have been in possession of the firearm.
The second youth is 5’8” with a slim build, with brown medium length hair, a brown thin moustache, and a stubble-like goatee, with a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and white running shoes.
This youth was reported to be carrying a scooter.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crimestoppers.
Police encourage the witness of the incident to come forward to provide a report.
