Sharon McKenzie visited Stratford to watch the Stratford Festival and fell in love.
The local resident contributed the Festival City to ‘Canada’s top travel bucket list destination’ picks to CBCs The Current, noting in her submission to the broadcaster that she is still in Stratford 61 years after stopping in to see that show.
The city’s ‘historic storefronts, parks and gardens…farmland and agriculture’, make it a must on any travel bucket list, McKenzie’s submission said.
Stratford made the top 10, and sits in esteemed company with places such as Bonavista in Newfoundland, Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, Quebec City and Manitoulin Island.
