Tenor John McDermott is bringing his renowned voice to Stratford.
McDermott will perform at the St. Joseph’s Parish Hall on Sept. 20, in a fundraiser for the church’s ‘iconic’ stairs, called ‘Stepping up for St. Joseph’s Stratford’.
Patricia Ignor from St Joseph’s Church described McDermott as “quite an unbelievable performer, with a lot of ballads and rich emotional vocals bringing together timeless Irish and Scottish classics”, with perhaps Danny Boy the most popular of those.
“He is really known for his traditional Celtic and folk roots.
“He does add a bit of classical touch to it as well.”
Tickets for the matinee are $75 to $150 and still available at the Avon Thames Catholic Family of Parishes – Stratford website or by calling or stopping in at the church office.
