Plenty on tap at St. Marys Canada Day celebrations

Cadzow Park is a homebase for St. Marys Canada Day celebrations.

The big day for Canadian pride starts with a parade that departs from the Pyramid  Recreation Centre at 11 a.m., makes it way through the downtown, and ends up at Cadzow Park.

It’s a free parade and you can register a float until June 27.

A flag raising and singing of the national anthem is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

Indigenous elder Patsy Anne Day will lead a land welcoming ceremony to honour and acknowledge Indigenous homelands.

Musicians Bradley Kerr and York Street Thought Process are scheduled for the afternoon.

There will be plenty of activities for guests, including children’s arts and crafts, an inflatable jumper and classic lawn games.

A fundraising BBQ will be held at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
