Trillium funding announced for Listowel Curling Club

Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae has announced $49,700 in funding for the Listowel Curling Club through an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant.

Funding will help the club replace outdated equipment and buy an ice controller system.

Listowel Curling Club president Rhonda Donegan said the funds help with capital projects but also send a message of the importance of affordable recreational opportunities in North Perth and area.

Rae said the club has been a pillar of the community for more than 70 years, offering all ages and skill levels a chance to play the game.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation invested more than $110 million in more than 1,000 community projects and partnerships last year.
