City getting closer to a new permanent CAO

The first round of job interviews is in the books in the search for the City of Stratford’s new chief administrative officer.

Stratford Mayor Martin Ritsma said the hiring committee received 75 applications for the top administrative post with the city, from all parts of the country.

The mayor said the process of selecting the candidate is moving along.

“We are on track to make a recommendation to council for July.”

Joan Thomson retired after 40 years with the city at the end of March, telling MyStratfordNow at the time it was an honour and privilege to serve the city. 

Adam Betteridge is the interim CAO.
