It’ll be a hot weekend; so make sure to cool off in cooling centres.
The City of Stratford will open these centres starting today due to high temperatures in the forecast from Friday to Monday.
According to Environment Canada, Friday sees a high of 30, 31 for Saturday, 32 on Sunday, and 33 on Monday.
The city says a centre will open at the Rotary Complex on 353 McCarthy Road West, with air conditioning, washrooms and water included in the space.
This space is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday to Monday.
Other spaces you can use include the Library on 19 Saint Andrew Street during regular hours, and the Anne Hathaway Park splash pad near the corner of Downie and Bruce Streets between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. every day.
A heat warning has been issued for Stratford and parts of Perth County, with hot and humid conditions expected from Saturday to Monday.
