Decorate, colour, enjoy the occasion, at Optimist Club of Ellice Family Fun Day

It’s a chance for some family fun in Rostock.

The 3rd annual Optimist Club of Ellice Family Fun Day is Saturday from 2-5 p.m. at Rostock Hall.

Events include a bike decorating contest and bike parade with some prizes handed out.

There is also a colouring contest, bouncy castles, outdoor games and plenty of food and snacks.

Volunteer Bev Rock said a bunch of sponsors and local businesses have helped out, including Simple Dreams Ice Cream. Perth County Pork Producers are providing hot dogs Knights of Columbus will serve fries and milk will be donated by the Perth Dairy Committee.

“We are very fortunate to have amazing businesses and organizations that are helping sponsor this event.”

Bike helmets are being donated by the Brain and Mind Matters Community Fund.

Rock said about 225 people attend each year, adding that organizers are happy to provide the event free of charge.

Students who need community hours can also find work at the fun day.

You can RSVP to [email protected] to help give organizers an idea how many are attending for food requirements.
