A search warrant by Stratford police turned up 165 firearms including 65 restricted or prohibitive class handguns.
Police executed the warrant on Aug. 13 at a Perth South residence.
A large amount of ammunition, gunpowder, and gun parts were also seized.
Officers say the investigation led to the arrest of a 69-year-old man who lived in the residence.
He’s been charged with careless use of firearms, and was released on an undertaking.
He’s set to appear in court on Sept. 29.
