SPL provides big benefits to community

The Stratford Public Library plays an important role in our community.

That was the message at last night’s city council meeting.

The library gave a presentation outlining the economic impact it has on Stratford.

The total value of the services the library provides amounts to $14.91 million.

Library CEO Julia Merrit says lots of people use those services:

Merrit adds they plan to stay relevant, and keep that financial impact going, for a long time:

During last night’s presentation the library pointed out that for every $1 invested it returns to the community a value of $7.48.
