Reaction to federal budget

The federal Conservatives brought down their budget yesterday.

Finance minister Jim Flaherty presented it to the House of Commons at 4:00pm Tuesday.

Perth-Wellington MP Gary Schellenberger likes what he sees.

The government committed $500 million over two years for auto-sector innovations and $305 million to improve internet access in rural areas.

The government has also set aside a $3 billion contingency fund.

Schellenberger especially likes this aspect of the budget.
