Province, high school teachers reach tentative agreement

With school right around the corner, it looks like labour peace may be at hand at Ontario high schools.  The province has reached a tentative agreement with its high school teachers and occasional teachers at the central bargaining level.

Local union leaders are expected to endorse the deal this week and then it’s up to the membership across Ontario to accept it.  The Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation represents about 60,000 teachers in Ontario.

School resumes following the Labour Day Monday.
