The Stratford-Perth YMCA is now accepting nominations for the YMCA Peace Medal.
The medal is given to a person or a group that has made a big contribution to creating a culture of peace in our community.
Last year’s winner was Keara Flood who was just 13-years-old thanks to the large amount of volunteer work she did. The year before Marissa Izma and Kim Hurley, the co-founders of Same World Same Chance, won the medal.
The deadline for nominations is March 1st. You can pick up a nomination form at the Stratford YMCA or you can email angela_charbonneau@ymca.ca for a copy.
