As the weather warms up, we’re going to see more wildlife on local roads and highways.
The Ministry of Natural Resources is asking local drivers to be vigilant this time of year.
Deer will be everywhere in our region, especially at dawn and dusk.
The MNR suggests you slow down and honk your horn in short bursts if you see an animal on the road.
If it’s night time, blink your headlights to warn the animal and give it time to move.
If you see one deer there are probably more as deer seldom travel alone.
