Starting in March, the Oxford County OPP will be enforcing weight restrictions on local roads. The initiative runs from March 1st to April 30th, and is meant to reduce damage to the roads.
Police say you are not allowed to operate a dual-axle tank truck to transport liquid or gaseous heating fuel, and no two-axle trucks to transport livestock feed on highways if it weighs more than 7,500 kilograms.
Drivers are not allowed to drive a commercial vehicle or trailer where any axle carries more than 5,000 kilograms. Police say it’s important to remember these rules have already started in Zorra Township.
