City hall will be looking for some ways to save money.
This comes after Councillor George Brown put forth a challenge at Monday night’s meeting to his fellow councillors to each come up with an idea on how to do just that. That led to a discussion about how to properly make that challenge work.
Mayor Dan Mathieson took a bit of an issue with the challenge, pointing out that while he supports costs savings the city had just recently gone through its budget process, during which savings ideas are discussed.
Council eventually agreed to a motion made by Councillor Brown for a finance subcommittee to come up with a process for a service delivery review.
