A few local people will be honoured by the Governor General tomorrow in London.
Northwestern Secondary teacher Paul Finkelstein will be getting his Meritorious Service Medal for his work with the school’s Screaming Avocado Café. St. Marys’ Matthew Wakem and Woodstock’s John Hunt will each be getting the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers. Wakem’s is for his work with St. John Ambulance and the St. Marys Leo Club. Hunt has been volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society since 2004.
The ceremony will be streamed live online at this website starting at 2:00pm.
