GRCA delays opening of conservation areas

The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority opened Wildwood, Pittock and Fanshawe Conservation Areas last week.

Now, the Grand River Conservation Authority is also preparing to open its gates for another season.

The GRCA normally opens its campsites around May 1st but the long and bitter winter has delayed the opening.

A portion of the Elora Gorge conservation area will open this Thursday with the remainder opening May 15th.

Conestogo Lake in Drayton has also delayed its opening until May 15th to accommodate the extra clean up and repairs.

For more information, go to the GRCA website.
