Next week is Hunger Awareness Week in Canada.
With the load on food banks increasing every day, The Local Community Food Centre will tackle the systemic issues around poverty.
One of the problems it will address will be the impact hunger has on people’s health.
Community Action Coordinator Elizabeth Anderson describes an event they have planned for next week.

She says Dr. Miriam Klassen, the Chief Medical Officer at the Perth District Health Unit will lead the discussion after the movie.

Dr. Klassen will be joined by Janice Dunbar, Community Developer at the Huron County Health Unit.
The movie night begins at 7:00PM on Thursday.
