West Perth Signs New Deal with OPP

West Perth has renewed its contract with the Perth County OPP.

Council passed the vote this week to keep the provincial police force its frontline unit, highlighting the detachment’s presence in the community.

The municipality’s new deal is a four-year contract, with the costs of enforcement per property lower than its previous agreement.

Three years ago each property’s policing costs were around $442, with the new contract’s price tag going down to $421.
