Perth County has adopted a new policy which could see more roundabouts placed at intersections with a history of collisions or safety concerns.
Council gave the green light for the new guidelines to be adopted by Public Works yesterday.
Public Works Director John McClelland says it gives planners another option for intersections that serve as gateways to communities and as a way to maintain flows of traffic.
Council will still have to approve any plans which come through the department.
McClelland says the county is always working towards getting access to better analytics, whether that’s through the OPP or otherwise.
