The Stratford-Bruce Peninsula economic region added 1,200 jobs through the last month of 2017.
The Four County Labour Market Board says losses in the manufacturing and construction sectors were off-set by growth in part-time, agriculture and healthcare positions.
The region’s unemployment rate dropped by point-two per cent to 4.1 per cent in December, with the province’s jobless rate currently at 5.1 per cent.
Compared to the same time last year, the region’s job market has grown by 3,500.
