The Grand River Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch for its entire watershed.
That includes the Nith River near New Hamburg and the Conestogo River.
The GRCA says Woolwich Township will be monitoring bridge road and Conestogo until colder temperatures takes hold over the weekend.
Flows are expected to peak on Saturday on the Nith River as flood coordinators will be watching the system closely.
The GRCA says stay away from ice fishing, especially on the reservoirs during the watch.
