Orlin Carl Rose, age 82, of St. Marys passed away peacefully with his wife and daughters by his side at Victoria Hospital, London on January 31, 2018. Beloved husband of Helen (Vanstone). Loving father of Sherry McCann (Rod), Nancy Croft (Steve), Diane Schneider (Bill), Brenda Hemstock (Dan). Grandfather of Amanda McCann, Jonah McCann (Heather), Jeffrey Croft (Anna), Ashley Morgado (John), Andrew Schneider, Jason Schneider (Rachel), Joshua Schneider, Danny Hemstock (Sarah), Brett Hemstock, Jake Hemstock (Haylie) and Chace Hemstock (Abbey). Great grandfather of Mason, Hunter, Jenna, Carson, Max, Benjamin and Jack. Also survived by sister-in-law Joanne French, brothers-in-law Fred Vanstone and Louis Corriveau and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Edwin and Clara (Eisler) Rose, brothers and sisters Dwayne Rose, Dorlene Norris, Warren Rose, Marilyn Walker, Jane Rolph, Father-in-law and mother-in-law Jack and Jean Vanstone, sister-in-law Iny Corriveau and brother-in-law Bobby Vanstone (Hannah). Orlin worked as a welder at Cooper Bessemer for many years and farmed at RR# 4 Stratford. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Stratford. At Orlin’s request a private family service will take place.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Festival Inn, 1144 Ontario Street, Stratford on Tuesday, February 6, from 2-4 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Stratford Perth Rotary Hospice Foundation or to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Stratford through the W.G.
