Steve Del Bosco is out, Yves Desjardins-Siciliano is in as the new President and CEO of VIA Rail.
John Baird and other federal cabinet ministers complained recently about Del Bosco’s performance.
He’s been the head of the crown corporation since 2010 when huge federal cuts led to the cancellations of Trains 86 and 89 for local residents.
Local Save VIA organizer Chris West doesn’t think the new CEO will change much and he’s working to make passenger rail service an issue in the current election.
