Two people face racing charges after separate incidents in Perth County

Two people may find themselves walking after police laid racing charges in Perth County.

The first incident saw police stop a driver in Perth East just before 8:00 a.m. last Friday.

They say the vehicle was found to be travelling in excess of 50 km over the posted speed limit in the Perth Line 43 area when it happened.

A 35-year-old Waterloo man has been charged with racing and lost his driver’s license suspended with his vehicle impounded.

The second incident saw a vehicle clocked at exceeding 50 km over the posted speed limit in the area of Perth Road 178 in North Perth Sunday afternoon.

A 26-year-old Wellington County man was charged with racing and has had his license suspended with his vehicle also impounded.
