Lucan is preparing to welcome the hockey world.
The town won the title as Kraft Hockeyville 2018 back in March through an online competition.
With the title comes the right to host an NHL pre-season game which is set for Tuesday at the Lucan Community Memorial Centre with the Ottawa Senators taking on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Each side has players who know the area well, on the Leafs there are Mitch Marner, Nazem Kadri and John Tavares who is playing in his first game pre-season game as a Maple Leaf.
On the Senators, there is Dylan Demelo who was just acquired by Ottawa from San Jose in the Erik Karlsson trade.
Before the game, there will be a community festival, red carpet arrivals for both teams and game-day skates.
The game Tuesday night starts at 7:30 and can be seen on Sportsnet.
