OPP warns drivers to watch out for wildlife

The OPP is warning you to be careful for wildlife while out driving.

Animals are very active this time of year.

Our vast rural communities offer scenic drives but can also distract motorists.

Police say 10,000 drivers collide with wildlife every year in Ontario.

Over the last six years, 19 people have been killed and 2200 injured.

Police say you should watch your speed while driving at night, scan the road constantly and don’t swerve to avoid hitting a wild animal.
