Recreational cannabis stores will be allowed in Perth South.
At their meeting on December 20th, Perth South Council voted in favour of opting-in for retail cannabis stores in the township
The vote followed a report by staff on the legalization of marijuana in Ontario.
Perth South says they anticipate a payment of at least $10-thousand from the province in 2019 in connection to the legalization and additional funding will be provided to all municipalities with those that allow the stores given priority over those that don’t.
