Warm December in the region

It might not be by much, but we had a warm December in our area.

That’s according to a report from the University of Waterloo’s weather station that found that December was 2 degrees above the average in our region.

We saw a cold start to the month, but after that, it was generally warmer with average daily highs around 1.7 C which is compared to an average daily high for the area of 0.2 Celcius from 1981 to 2010.

There wasn’t much snow, with just 11.5 centimeters falling over the month, but there was some rain with a total of 71.2 millimeters.

The snowfall amount was down over 25 centimeters compared to the average.
