Wellington County OPP was kept busy during their Festive Ride Campaign.
They say the campaign, which ran from November 23rd to Wednesday, saw 110 separate RIDE checks set up throughout the county with more than 6-thousand drivers stopped.
Police say twenty-eight drivers were charged with Impaired Driving offences and 43 others were given Warning Range Suspensions.
During the campaign, officers also investigated Highway Traffic Act offences and Provincial Cannabis Act offences which saw four drivers charged with Suspended Driving and 20 Cannabis Act charges laid.
According to police, of the 193 reported collisions in the county during that time eight involved alcohol or drug use.
