Hospitals in Perth-Wellington are getting a financial boost to the tune of over $2.3-million.
Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece announced the funding Wednesday calling it “great news for our rural communities and the future of health care” in the area with the province “investing in essential healthcare projects to ensure people have access to services they can depend now and in the future.”
The funding is coming from the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund with officials saying that it allows hospitals to address urgent issues, including upgrades or replacements of roofs, windows, heating, and air conditioning systems, fire alarms and back-up generators.
Under the funding, the Stratford General Hospital will receive $845,240 and the St.Marys Memorial Hospital will get $238,732.
