Egg farmers donate $10,000 to Eat and Learn program

Eat and Learn programs throughout Perth and Huron got a boost from farmers today.

The Egg Farmers of Ontario was at Sprucedale Public School this morning to present the cheque.

Local egg farmer Gary West explains where the money is coming from.

Over $10,000 was raised through the contest.

Eat and Learn programs offer students free breakfast and lunch meals.

West says hunger can greatly impact a child’s ability to learn.

West says it will help all local schools in Perth and Huron.
