It’s a prestigious award for the Stratford Municipal Airport.
At Stratford City Council’s regular meeting Monday night, Mayor Dan Mathieson presented an award to airport General Manager Andy Woodham on behalf of the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association for Best Airport Management for 2018.
The award is part of the association’s Member’s Choice Awards program and recognizes service levels and quality from businesses and organizations serving the General Aviation community in Canada.
Woodham says he was surprised by the award but it shows that they are doing a great job of managing the airport.
“Right from day one, we haven’t maintained our facility or anything that we do out here because of any awards or anything we just move ahead like we always do and we try to run a top top-notch airport”.
Nominations for the awards closed October 1st and voting took place in October.
