Stratford Police Service believes every kid should be able to go to prom

Stratford Police Service believes every young person should be able to go to prom dressed in style.  That’s why this year they are organizing the first-ever Stratford Glam Exchange.

The event aims to allow all students to come and choose a gently used dress or a suit, accessories, and new makeup who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford it.

SPS Community Resource Officer Darren Fischer says kids shouldn’t be held back because of money, “We are definitely trying to prevent that. We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to attend the prom or graduation in style.”

You can drop off donations now of gently used formal wear, shoes, jewellery and new (unused) makeup at the Stratford Police station.

Everyone is invited to attend the Glam Exchange on March 23, from noon to 4:00 pm at the City Hall Auditorium.
