UTRCA warns kids to stay away from river and streams

As March Break begins there is a warning to stay away from streams and rivers.

The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority warns everyone to be careful because river and stream banks are slippery and combined with fast-moving water can be very dangerous.

Parents are urged to keep their children and pets away from all waterways and off of frozen water bodies as the ice has weakened and is not safe.

The UTRCA does not expect to see any flooding this week, but we could see the return of high water levels experienced in early February.
