London has a new mayor.
Councillor Joni Baechler will fill in for Joe Fontana until this fall’s municipal election.
Baechler was chosen by London City Council yesterday.
She prevailed with an 8-6 vote on the third ballot.
Fontana resigned after he was found guilty of fraud, breach of trust and uttering forged documents as a Liberal MP.
