One person airlifted to hospital after two vehicle collision in Perth East

One driver is in hospital in stable condition after a two vehicle collision near Stratford.

First responders say they were called out to the intersection of Perth Line 33 at Perth Road 108 in Perth East around 3:30 Thursday afternoon after the collision happened.

According to police, the collision involved a westbound Kia Sedan and an eastbound Toyota SUV.

Police tell My Stratford Now.com that the female driver of the SUV was airlifted to hospital in London with serious but non life threatening injuries and she was later upgraded to stable.
They say a male and a female from the Kia Sedan were taken to the Stratford General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation, according to police, but they say an eastbound sports utility vehicle entered the westbound lane and struck a sedan.
Technical Traffic Investigators spent time at the scene trying to determine what lead to the collision.
