UTRCA to plant more than 50 thousand trees over three-week span

The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority is set to get to work.
The authority says they will be planting more than 50 thousand trees throughout the Upper Thames watershed over a three-week span, including at in the Wildwood Conservation Area in St.Marys.
They say tree delivery and planting begins this week.
Two special events are being held on Thursday to mark the beginning of the three weeks, including one at the Wildwood Conservation Area starting at 11 a.m,
The UTRCA says they help with tree planting in both rural and urban areas to help with things like improving water quality by creating natural buffers and improving air quality.
They have planted 10 million trees in the watershed since 1950.
