The anniversary of a horrific crime that resonated across Canada is being marked.
It was ten years ago Monday, April 8th, 2009, that eight-year-old Tori Stafford went missing in Woodstock after being kidnapped by Terry-Lynne Mcclintic and Michael Rafferty.
The two were each sentenced to life in prison for the rape and murder of the girl.
Rodney Stafford, Tori’s father, along with friends and family are holding a protest on Parliament Hill in Ottawa Monday to draw attention to Mcclintic being transferred to an indigenous healing lodge.
She was transferred back to prison not long after that transfer amid criticism from many.
