Over five-hundred students from the Avon Maitland District School Board are coming together to be loud and proud.
The students from grades 5 to 8 are taking part in the fifth annual; Loud and Proud V Mass Band event Tuesday at Stratford Northwestern School.
Organizers say the students will take part in an afternoon of instrumental workshops with guest clinicians and rehearsals with the event concluding with a concert featuring all students performing several numbers as a mass band.
The aim of the event, according to organizers, is to promote music education in elementary schools.
The concert takes place starting at 6:30 p.m.
