St.Marys has first Living Wage Employer

St. Marys now has its first Living Wage Employer.

The United Way Perth-Huron says Luckhardt Landworks Limited, which offers landscape services, is the latest to certify as a Living Wage Employer in the champion category.

Now calculated annually by the United Way Perth-Huron’s Social Research and Planning Council, the Living Wage is a calculation based on the living expenses of a family of four with both adults working full-time at 35 hours a week, once government transfers and deductions are taken into account.

Perth-Huron Counties’ Living Wage is $17.44 per hour.

The company currently employs 3 full-time and 2 part-time employees and it was established in 2015.
