Perth County OPP kept busy over Canada Day long weekend

The Canada Day long weekend was a busy period for Perth County OPP.

While they conducted a traffic safety blitz from last Friday to Canada Day, targetting the big four driving offences, they say they laid numerous charges.

They included 82 for speeding, three for stunt driving, two for seatbelt infractions, one for distracted driving and 14 for other violations under the Highway Traffic Act.

One of those was for impaired driving, according to police.
