More details released about e-bike collision in Stratford

We are learning more details about a serious collision involving an e-bike in Stratford.

First responders were called around 8:45 last Saturday morning after a collision between an e-bike and a Toyota Highlander at the intersection of Forman Avenue and Hibernia Street.

Police say their investigation revealed that a 65-year-old man was travelling on Forman Avenue on his e-bike when the other vehicle, driven by a 38-year-old woman, was travelling westbound on Hibernia.

The woman came to a stop at the stop sign at the intersection and then drove westbound through the intersection.

The man on the e-bike was unable to stop and police say he drove directly into the side of the Toyota Highlander and then fell onto the road, suffering serious injuries.

Police say the woman has been charged for failing to yield to through traffic on a highway.

No update was given on the man’s condition.
