All Avon Maitland District School Board schools will close if there’s a one-day teacher’s strike.
The Ontario Secondary School Teacher’s Federation announced late last week that if they don’t reach a tentative deal, then its members will hold a one-day strike tomorrow (Wednesday).
In a letter to parents, the AMDSB says the strike would force them to close all elementary and high schools because of safety concerns.
The board says it will continue to monitor the situation closely and, if there isn’t a strike, it will be business as usual with the schools open.
