A 38-year-old Woodstock man faces several charges after police say they foundĀ an explosive device and materials inside his home.
Police say they searched the home on Monday after receiving a tip that the man was in possession of the material to make a pipe bomb and they also evacuated several homes in the area.
Police used search warrants to go into the man’s home as well as another home in the city and a vehicle in Ingersoll.
They removed several items and the man has been charged with two counts of Possession of an explosive device, Possession of an explosive substance, Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and Possession of a prohibited weapon.
Monday evening, the man wasĀ foundĀ and arrested on Dover Street.
He was due in court Tuesday.
