There’s some good news for several local festivals.
The Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund has been renewed for this year.
Randy Pettapiece says it’s better late than never.
The Perth-Wellington MPP was contacted earlier in the year by local festivals including the Stratford Festival, Stratford Summer Music and Drayton Entertainment.
The fund had been set to expire but they wanted it to continue.
Pettapiece says after several months of waiting and much correspondence with the minister, it has finally been renewed.
The fund is intended to invest in the development, promotion and presentation of cultural tourism events.
