Perth East man charged after coughing incident at Stratford LCBO

A 57-year-old Perth East man faces an assault charge following an incident at an LCBO in Stratford.
On April 6th, SPS put out a release asking for information about a man they say intentionally coughed on an employee at the downtown LCBO.
They say the man was apparently upset about the safety measures the store had put in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and he coughed twice on an employee at the cash.
SPS says the man contacted police on April 8th and he met with police last Saturday where he was charged with assault.
Police say the man can only be identified as a Perth East resident and he has a court appearance in Stratford scheduled for June 8th.
